I am not a big play of Avp/Avp Gold (i only have gold) but I am fasanated by the Xenoborgs, and think they are overlooked, and I know very little about them, and i was wondering if the good people of avp2.net would help me out. I would like info about them such as engernireing and orgins, and i would love to have pics of them (Is planing a future Xenoborg mod for AvP2) so please with any info or pics send them to my new E-mail ( dark_predator_avp2@hotmail.com) all pics and info are helpful

alright, i guess xenoborgs are a bit too over your heads, but I enjoy them, ive dedacated this fourm to them,they are the basee for my first book TAC, the alien exo suit ect. so please humor me with any information on the xenoborg.

In all honesty I gotta admit that I never payed them too much though [despite the fact that they ARE COOL]



You could argue that they are an extension of the Gigerian bio-MECHANOID idea...

I kinda lost all my files for AvP after I had to format **prior to when I lost my files for "The New Ambition" which has anyone found yet? :/** anyway - I can't reinstall it either after I lost my cd

So I take it only me and demi are xenoborg fans? What are the rest of you to scared of them? come on, i need info and Pic's if you all want to help me with this AvP2 mod, witch IS in the works, but we cant do anything with the few pics we have.

The only way I can think to make it happen would be...



create a skin for a fully fleshed and clothed Terminator. Then go snooping around in the source code, and try to find how the programming "paints" red/acid/green blood onto a character when they are hit. If they have an "all red" model for the humans that is gradually revealed as they are shot, then you could replace the red with a textured grey. As the model takes damage, instead of red appearing, you would see glimpses of metallic grey showing through.



Now, to actually be able to skeletonize a terminator, to see the T-800 endoskeleton beneath? that would take a hell of a lot of programming...way to much to be expected of any modder. Though that too, would be frickin' awsome.



And just so everyone knows, there is evidence that links the Terminator and Aliens film series together. Enough that they even realeased a fantastic "Aliens vs. Predator vs. The Terminator" comic a year ago. I would suggest picking it up if you have the opportunity.

I liked the idea of Xenoborgs, even if they didn't make alot of sense. I mean, what are Aliens best at? Their speed, stealth, close combat attacks, the ability to hunt down their targets, and their acidic defense mechanism.



What does the Xenoborg have? Well, it's got so much machenery in it that it's now slower than molasses, so the speed is gone. They're too clunky and slow to use stealth effectively. The scientists replaced both their hands with laser, turning their close combat attacks into ranged attacks. Their pheremone detecting abilities are replaced by a scanning laser, which is pretty inferior, if you ask me. Finally, they don't appear to have any kind of acidic defense, probably it was neutralized in order to install all of their hardware.



So you have to ask yourself...why did the scientists decide to put these weapons into an expensive Xenomorph? Why not put them in a much cheaper gorilla, a human volunteer (which might actually understand your orders), or just add them to a coatrack and make a halfway decent robot? What possible benfit did they get from installing these components into an Alien?



Despite all this, I liked them because they were an original and challenging additon to the AvP game, and it was really frickin' sweet to watch it gunning down human NPCs. It's kind of a shame they didn't make an appearance in AvP2, especially in a hidden area or bonus level.

yes more Xenoborg fans, but i really need info and pics, andas soon as the mod is finished (witch will take awhile at this rate) plans are in the makeing for a SP level, with Xenoborgs trying to escape

You may as well pit Bishop models vs the aliens - its exactly the same thing basically! Both androids, its just like having bishop's vs the aliens all over again. I would prefer it AvP. ** I've seen the AvPvT comic before.

oh and Nealith i too have relised the xenoborgs are slow, and a bit err in equipted, thats why we are tweaking the avp2 version, such as a jet pack for super jumps. thats just one of many upgrades, so please will someone help me with info and pics?

A jet pack!?!? slaughter house if you know how to use it then Jump over the guy and then kill him from behind - ouch...

cougar you missunderstood me, they cant fly, its just to give them an exrta jump, and another upgrade is xtra speed, our goal is to make the xenoborg terifying, and i think its working so far

If you're going far enough to make entirely new models in your Mod, I think Terminators would make a helluva coller addition to AvP2 than Xenoborgs...you could make a custom skin...download some one-liners to use as his audio clips...give him a heaping of armor and HP.



If you could swing it red eyes would be really sweet...or if you could reveal more and more of the skeleton underneath as you dealt damage to him...
