It's lose. Pretty easy mistake to make, but a very misleading one too. It's in your story too, best to zap them with a quick spell check.

And no, I don't hate it when they lose, to be honest

Sloffy, have you read this new story of Preliators? Remember the little boy and his friendly alien called Agie? The one I pointed you to at Fan Fiction LAST YEAR!!!!!! Tell me this isn't the same story, I think it's the same story. Names have changed but it's deffo the same.

Anise is quite right - we both read this story on FanFiction.net, on there it was called 'Childhood Bodyguard' by someone called 'eXtreme shipper' - this is most certainly the same story, and stolen to boot. It was taken off there because of its rating after the NC-17 fiasco on FF. This is blatant stealing, taking someone else's very fine story and calling it your own. I think extreme shipper would be very interested to know about this, don't you, Preliator? Shall I tell him, or will you?

I think I shall also be having a word with Demigod and possibly removing your writer's account. Stealing other people's work will NOT be tolerated as I know how I'd feel if it was mine that was stolen.

That was it! I remember it well, very well. It was a brilliant story and the author doesn't deserve to have it ripped off. One of the biggest crimes one writer can do to another is to rip their work off and pass it off as their own. Plagierism, it's as nasty sounding as it is a nasty act. I'd be most unhappy if someone did that to me.
And Preliator, before you think of coming up with some flippant 'pass it off as a joke' remark, I bet YOU wouldn't find it funny if someone did that to you.
The almost dead give away was the sudden increase in the quality of the writing. No one goes from appalling to brilliant overnight, unless you're Joe 90 and just had a visit to The Big Rat.

Anybody who stands by this 'writer' deserves tarring with the same brush and bag of feathers.
