I have been cursed with a very crappy cpu, a 450 :'( i can barely run avp2 and all the loads are ssslllloooowwwweerrrrrr then an arthritic snail :'(. Do any of you have the same of similiar prediciment?

Oh yeah I DO!, but not for long 
Mine doesn't even RUN AvP2 in fact it just barely ran the original with lots of lag, ON A LAN GAME! mine is a 400MGz with 32MB RAM, and I dont know what video card, but it only had 64MB. I did have a 13GB hard drive though.
Ahh those days shall soon be over, Getting a 2400 AMD Athlon 2.0GHz with 256MB RAM, GeForce FX with 128MB, and 40GB drive, oooooh yeah!
Took me FOREVER to save for it, but its the only solution I could see.(parents wouldn't buy it for me

The minimum for doom 3 are incredibly high, you need better then top of the line for all the features!

Doom 3 specs are not that high - he could run it on that comp
