A new public BETA for the upcoming massively online multiplayer game Helix Core was just released, and I thought some people here might be interested in testing it. Currently anyone who is interested can download the BETA and try the game out online. The game, Helix Core blends team-based FPS combat with vehicular combat in the same environment. Be aware that presently the game is in a very early stage, so it won't look or play anywhere near as well as the final game (which is slated for a 2004 release). Look for large improvements in the near future. BETA testers are needed, so go to the forums and download the BETA. Check out the Development and testing forum for all the information you need to get started, including the latest game download. CPU: 1 ghz Intel compatible
System Memory: 256 mb RAM
Graphics card: ATI Radeon 9700, GeForce3 or GeForce 4 (as soon Nvidia comes with their new driver Geforce FX also) or compatible cards
Sound card: DirectX 9 compatible soundcard
Hard Drive space: 200 mb for installation, 300 mb for vm cache
Internet Connection for online gameplay: DSL, cable, or better
Software: DirectX 9
