Any have you guys seen the final LOTR yet? I suppose you would have, it kicks serious ass, and once again it is filmed in New Zealand (thankyou, thankyou
)
If you have read the novels, then it is kinda a little bit of a let down, but it still bloody good.
What did you guys think?

I really liked it. I haven't read the novels yet, but I still new the ending. Some people didn't like the ending as much, thought it was too drawn out, but I knew what to expect so I really didn't think it was drawn out.

BAH! - the losers cut out some of the best scenes in the ending (i will not say which ones since some of you have not read the novel, those of you that have should know what im talking about). Its a 3hr long movie for christ sake! Would it kill them to add an extra 7 1/2 minutes, geez. They just did it so they could make more money by making the "Special Edition" version.

Actually all 3 part were filmed in one go, so all the actors/actressis got one paycheck, thats why it's making so much profit. It was the editing and sFx that was spread out over a long period of time.
I simply have to say, the CGI was amazing
But the travels of the Ring with the hobbits was ver tedious
After 3 years of the trilogy, I really didnt care what they got up to (especially towards the end of the film with the BIG tarantula). I just wanted to watch it for all the other characters.

I know, my families farm is only and hours drive from where they were filming, and only a 2 hour hike from where i used to go hunting.
