I had the misfortune of watching The Core last night.....

There was comment in it:-
"...the core is the size of Mars. You are talking about jump restarting a planet".

Is it me? since when is Earth greatly larger then Mars???

Both my husband and I thought the previews was neat but wasn't too sure of buying it, later on my dad called and said he had it and told me about the funny and interesting parts in it so I borrowed it from him.
The plot is far fetched, a so not true feeling vibe from it, but the make believe tech used in it was pretty neat and new and the guy with the big nose from Lonestar State of Mind and The New Guy played a funny character. I thought it was an okay movie.

It was amusing. Impossible, and not very deep as movies go, but fun to watch nonetheless. Not good enough for me to bother buying, though.

BTW Earth is almost twice the diameter of Mars (12,756.3 km vs. 6,794 km). The depth of the outer core of Earth is about 2890 km at its shallowest. So the diameter of the core is 6976 km, a bit bigger than Mars. That is one of the only things the movie got right

is the Kore mentioned in the Core? DId you know that Kore is in the Core with the Corps drinking a Coor? haha
