Prezes post of The Core got me thinking of this movie and that it is wayyyy better, glad my husband bought it.
I had no idea what it was really about hence didn't want to watch it, but when I did thought it was pretty awesome. The plot I say isn't as far fetched, it gave a good sense of chaos, the computer animation bit was good and the characters were nicely played.
What do you guys think of it?

I thought it was a good disaster movie. What happened was compltely implausible on the time frame they showed (those things are probably going to happen, but over a period of centuries not days). However, if you watch it with that understanding it is a good movie.

Yeah this movie was really good, becuse its so true. I had a little bit weaker feeling when the movie endid knowing i cant to anything to stop this realy bad thing! I walked out of the theather and i looked around and thought that this could happen realy soon because of the rate of pollution. This is a little bit off topic but USA is the leader of pollution withe and 31% of the world pollution. Russia was second but withe something like 11 or 12%. The other countrys joined pollution stop thing dont remeber what was its name. But the thing is that USA did not and he is the maijore polluter in the whole freakyng world!!!

But thats what is soo good about the move.

Everyone in it says it can't happen like this and should take centuries. Some of the explanations for the rapid changes and weather effects are really good.


...and how can you have a disaster movie which spans centuries?

I found it to be a good movie. lots of chaos. lots of cool effects. I did find one part of it funny. I guess its an ironic thing, but it still made me laugh a bit.

Which part was that?

the part where all the people are crossing illegally into Mexico.
