Edward Scissorhands, Dances with Wolves -there are probably more, but those two were the worst. I almost died of dehydration in the movie theatre.

When a movie makes me cry, all I can say is

The only movie that made me cry was Terminator 2. When it first came out and we were all about 13 years younger, I cried at the end because the Terminator had to be "terminated" by being dropped in the molten steel. Several movies have made me almost cry (get a lump in your throat), but that was the only one that actually accomplished it.

I usually get a lump in the throat in good war movies, and some of those romantic/charming movies that you see with your GF...

I just find the sudden death of a person rather sad. It illustrates our drive for destruction, which I can only hope that humanity can grow out of.

Not many movies make me cry but these actually made me cry... The Pianist and, I know you'll probably laugh, Godzilla.

The most recent tear jerker was Hayao Miyazaki's recent film (an anime) Spirited Away. Not sure if anyone here as even seen it, none the less even heard of it. The part that put a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye was when Sin/Chihiro finally figures out Haku's real name is the Kohaku River. How Miyazaki put that part together was amazing and surely is a great flic if it can put a tear in my eye.

Have Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, seen Kiki's Delivery Service and want to see Castle in the Sky and this other one with the word Neighbor in it's title. I'm not sure what it's about but still want to see it since it was created by Miyazaki.

I haven't seen spirited away, but I have seen Princess Mononoke. It was pretty good, a bit too wierd for my tastes though. The movie also bashed you over the head with its message a bit too hard, which is usually a turn-off for me.

Spirited Away really doesn't have any solid "bash your head in with a message" but is more something for people with an open mind of spirits and demons. A "Hey, what if?" movie. There is the human world: Money, stores, automobiles. And then there is the spirit world that Chihiro got caught up in that is similiar to the human world, but with magic.

Is it by any chance "My Neighbor Totoro". I'm not really sure, but that is the only one with the word neighbor in it that I can remember.
