It's been a month and there hasn't been any discussion regarding this year's E3. Anybody have any thoughts regarding this year's show? Any thoughts about any announced games, or any games that were first playable at the show? Any thought about the two new consoles that were playable for the first time at the show, or how the third fared?

I'm not particularly interested in paying $600 for a video game system. Especially when its two competitors cost about that much combined (maybe even less).
I am a bit annoyed with Sony over their handling of their controller. I have no problem with Sony copying Nintendo's motion sensing idea. That is what Sony does, they have stolen idea from Nintendo many times before and everyone has been expecting it to happen again since the controller was first announced at TGS last year. I considered it almost inevitable that Sony would steal the idea sooner or later, more likely sooner than later. Copying others is business, and it would naive and idealistic to think Sony would avoid doing it this time, especially with the hype the controller was getting and Sony's history. However, I expected them to do it in a slightly more graceful manner.
At the start of their E3 pre-show conference they insulted Nintendo for using "gimmicks", saying they don't need to use such things. Then at the very end of the show they present their "new" controller, which has a much poorer version of the motion sensing technology they just insulted and said they didn't need, trying to pass it off as their own "fantastic innovation" (direct quote). It is just rude. On top of that the motion sensing seems pretty poorly implemented compared to Nintendo's, basically equivalent to the motion sensing GBA cartridges Nintendo was using years ago or the motion-sensing PC gamepad by Microsoft that failed miserably years before that. And Sony had to get rid of the rumble feature in order to get it working, something Nintendo seemed to have no problem with, and it doesn't appear many games (maybe only 1 or 2 launch titles) are going to support it. All in all Sony ended up looking pretty bad IMHO.
I don't expect them to admit that they stole the idea from Nintendo, they never have before, but I would expect them to at the very least not insult Nintendo for coming up with the idea they stole and then claiming they came up with the idea themselves. That is just taking it too far. At a certain point ethics, common courtesy, and not making yourself look like an ass come into play. Especially if the rumors are true it was whipped together just a few weeks before E3. Even more so because that would mean the controller was developed right after seeing the Game Informer article on Red Steel, the first official 3rd party game shown for the Wii, which demonstrated a wide variety of ways the motion sensing could be applied to gaming.
