what on earth are you people babbleing about what is his alien war why is it selling t-shirts and being advertised?? and I amircan and take offence to what the people said i care others dont not all of us are alike and wtf is ALIEN WAR!!!

Then sit down and get comfortable, 'cos I'm going to tell you all a story.



Although I knew of Alien War's existence from the above mentioned TV spot, I stumbled over it quite by accident when I was in London in 1995.



There were only 4 in my group. We were lead into a small room where a Colonial Marine briefed us on what was happening. We were going to be taken on a tour of the Xenomorph breeding facility. He said he would be right back then disappeared for what seemed like an eternity.



He then BURST back giving us all a jolt. He said the Xenomorphs had broken out of containment and he was going to escort us through the facility to an escape vehicle.



So we enter the complex proper. After a short while you'd swear you were in the corridors of Hadley's Hope. The marines tells us to wait as he scouts up ahead. After a minute or so pressurised gas blasts out of a pipe scaring the crap out of all and sundry. The marine shows up and again and we continue down a couple of corridors - then the lights went out.



A couple of second later they come back on and standing not 3 feet away is a FUCKING huge Alien. The marine screams at us to run while he starts firing his pulse rifle at it. And do we RUN!



Down a few more corridors, strobe lights and the sound of pulse rifle fire behind, laughing nervously, then the marine shows up behind us wondering what we're laughing at and barking orders.



Then we got to the nest. Now in hindsight, you think "Why was I so scared? It's just a thrill ride." But when we saw several eggs and the marine says we have to be extremely quiet and we should make it past them. And I'm thinking "Is this guy crazy?" That's how much the atmosphere pulls you in. You're not in a basement in London - you are in a Weyland Yutani Alien breeding facility.



We get past the eggs and into a lift. The marine says it's going to take us down to the escape pod. It goes down about 2 feet then stops and an Alien lunges in the door and takes one of the people taking the tour!!! The marine fires at it as it drags him off. He gets out of the lift and we follow down some stares and into a tiny room with chairs down either side - decked out a bit like an APC.



The marines orders us to sit and tells us we're going to drop straight down. Before this happens though he freezes, then shouts at us to get our feet off the floor.



And the lights go out again.



I swear they were only off for 2 or 3 seconds but when they come on again an Alien has somehow got inside this tiny sealed room, and is standing next to me about to attack, the marine opens another door at the end of the room, and shouts at us to run as he shoots at the Alien. We all bolt out and sprint down another corridor - dead end.



Just before we reach a door in the wall is flung open by another marine who is shouting at us to "GO GO GO!!!" We go -



- and run back into the Alien War foyer.



Where I bought a t-shirt. They had Frost "Peace through superior firepower" t-shirts too but my budget didn't stretch that far.

that "peace" t-shirt is sooo cool.

Should have something for you video wise this week I hope.

i live nowhere near london, so i have to ask anyway, how much did it cost and will it ever be showing again?

Damn...too bad I've never had a chance to leave the states.



Anyway, I saw Aliens when I was about 7 or 8 at an uncle's house. Caught it right about at the queen-egg-chamber bit. Nearly wet myself.
