Had this idea for maybe doing a first-person pred story as a nice change, but after I finish my Alien 1.
Gonna do it from a mean-minded female's view I think!

I don't know much about them myself, but that gives me more scope to come up with some interesting stuff, eh?  I only know that they r bigger and meaner than the males 
I've been making notes for it but will only start writing proper after my alien 1.

Oh, yes - I intend to write this 1 in a totally different style - nothing at all like the alien 1.
She is gonna be big and badass! And totally and utterly nothing like a human - or an alien for that matter!

That would be good. I'd like to read some fics that explore the yautja's clan culture. There doesn't seem to be much of that, a lot of hunt stories though. Well, good luck with the stories AlienSlof.

personally I would ignore orat least minimise the "clan issue" and dive deep into the societal forces that would shape such a civilisation.

Hmmmm - I will try my best to please This might be a short story - I have outlined characters that should interact with each other in various ways from respect to outright hostility. But as little is known of the female Yautja it gives me room to use some artistic license.
It might end up being crap, but damn it, I will give it a go

just like with the Jockeys- U can invent anything you like and "timeline" issues don't emerge.

OK, then, if u ppl would like it to be a detailing of Yautja culture, I would be grateful for any help or ideas, even an interesting plotline to base it around, but most of all, some ideas!
I have already planned out 7 characters for it, including the female, with a varied set of personalities to allow for interesting interaction, one of the younger ones being her son.
Any details any1 might know that I don't will be appreciated

So AlienSlof what do you know about the preds? The pred culture has very little writen about it. The only details about the preds are mostly about the hunts and hardly even touch the part of the sociaty outside of the hunt giving you a lot of room to 'invent' things this as long as you don't rewrite the facts that are already there.

A lot of it I will have to invent, as no1 knows much about female preds either - some ideas might help me write it tho. Not done anything explaining culture before - aliens don't have much of that!

Haven't decided on that yet - it's going to be a study of their culture but in story form, so there may well be mentions of, and interaction with other species.
Already have the characters set up for this, the female, her mate, and a group of young bloodeds that he is training up, including her son. Possibly centered around a hunting trip, but it is more about the characters and their social interaction than the hunt itself.
