Wren gets his hands on some ileagal weaponry. But his glory fades as the USCM steps in. Now, for the tasters:
It was only when he had turned around that he saw both Phy and Ker hissing at seemingly midair. Both tails were twitching furiously as they had caught wind of something they did not like.
It took only a moment.
Phylonus was launched a good ten yards before crasing into a stall that sold exotic plants. Ker was whipping his tail back and forth. "Uh...hello, what's going on?" The two made no awknowledgement to what Wren had said.
Two seconds.
What was once thin air quickly turned into three towering monstrocities. The same that Rob had seen in the casino. Seeing both Ker and Phy getting whooped by them Wren stepped in. "Hey you grade A lunatics! What are you doing!" he shouted. One had heard Rob as he had disengaged from the other two and charged him. It hefted a long spear like weapon as it came closer to the boy. Wren, thinking quickly lifted the Tenloss and squeezed the trigger, firing blindly. A perfect, centimeter diameter circle was blasted straight through the creature. "No wonder they outlawed this." Wren said. He could see the crowd on the other side of the Yautja. The predator dropped to the floor like a hard stone. The one that was know holding up Phylonus dropped him and walked over to Wren.
