Here is an excerpt:
It reached into to get me, but could not get that far into the cave. I grabbed my gun and cocked it; the loud noise stopped us both. I think it realized that it was in a bad position for it suddenly pulled back and started to fire at the entrance of the cave, I shot the pistol wildly at the creature hoping to scare it away.
