Gmail suffers problems

Googles email service sufferes "technical issues", with some users reporting major delays. Google has been trying to keep people informed on their Dashboard, but had to admit ""We're aware that prompt delivery is an important part of the Gmail experience. And today's experience fell far short of our standards".

With the issues affecting as many as 12 million users, it was quite a significan result even though it lasted a very short amount time. This follows more significant issues Google experienced last month which saw internet traffic fall as much as 40% !!! Many Gmail users voiced their complaints on Twitter.
