New details of the new Call of Duty instalment emerge

The latest addition to the franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is set in 2025 and centres the enemy taking control of the US Army’s unmanned weapon systems.

Developed by Treyarch Studio, the game is slated for 13th November release.

That will pitch it against the return of Microsoft's Halo series.

Activision said the last title in the Call of Duty series, Modern Warfare 3, broke sales record grossing $775m (£465m) on its first five days on sale.

Talk of various forums suggests that some players might have begun getting tired of the format, this could suggest why the Modern Warfare 3 has sold 4.2% copies less than the first Black Ops.

The plot has been developed in conjunction with David Goyer (Batman Begins scriptwriter) and Brooks Institution think tank centres on cyber-terrorism is meant to bolster interest in the title.
