- Unreal 1 set the FPS genre into what it is for the lats 3-4 years.
I STILL play the game these days, having done it about 39 times.
- Its expansion Pack "return to NaPali" [I think] took the game some further, improving the graphics and adding new weapons.
- Unreal Tournament STILL has a following.
- I have a single-player expansion for UT, which, again, continues the standard Unreal storyline.
There is a lot of remakes being done--of UT maps into the UT2004 engine, as dedicated players like to 0play their "old favourites".
Then you go into the NEW generation of Unreal games:
Unreal 2
Unreal Tournament 2003
Unreal Tournament 2004
and the console people have their own Unreal Championship
I'm constantly looking at starting an Unreal site, but havent yet gotten round to it, plus the workloads for a single dude would be overwhelming, with the number of Unreal-family games out there...

If you enjoy some retro gaming with CLASS [as the Unreal 1 engine is slightly dated] then Unreal and its expansion pack can be picked up for a pittance these days. The atmosphere is amazing, as is the music.
If you have an awesome gaming rig, then have a go at Unreal Tournament 2004 and have some fun with playing with vehicles--amazing slaughter.
