Seeing as i've ended up as the only person to post on the Alien stories forum, i guess this is wasted breath. But who cares.



Demigod's idea to create an alien-style story, instead of aliens-style (ie - no marines, guns etc) just pure horror and suspense will be made into reality with my new story - Alien: Generation.



Pluto is the setting, the war has ended and people are rebuilding their shattered lives. The UC Olympics have begun on Earth and hundreds of major cities lie in ruins. Up on Gateway station, the remaining 34 Frigates, Dreadnaughts and battleships unite for the post-war celebrations, yet elsewhere in the galaxy, the war has just gotten worse.



Predators have stolen the virus used to wipe out the alien thret on Mars. The station it was stolen from was left a wreck and a team of scientists are sent with an escort of marines to salvage the base.



But when the site is deemed clear, the marines are called off to assist in a crisis brewing on the egde of the Sol system, leaving the scientists unarmed and defenceless.



And an alien is loose in the complex, with revenge in mind...

coooooooooool.

And please don't feel discouraged by the quiet (?) - I'm game for chatting about Aliens stories anytime (though I wish I really had *more* time for it)! Right now I'm also up to my ears in a new project (well, not exactly new, since I've been carrying around this bugger in my brain for at least 5 years before I finally started to act on it a few months ago) - it's a partial rewrite of Aliens (nope, I hope that's not blasphemy) under the premise of 'What if the atmosphere processor didn't blow and they'd really have to wait for their rescuers in Operations for 17 days?... Then of course, everything goes to heck and the story takes a gigantic left turn, LOL...

sorry about my minimalist approach to lit- besides my crappy life and the webmastering, I'm also finishing a 6th chapter for a commercially oriented scifi novel, and a 3rd chapter for a thriller. Both are supposed to go to an agent soon, so I'm a bit off-focus from the Aliens, AvP and pred stuff....
