The UK's joint most popular PC magazine, PC Zone, has, today (Saturday) released its Christmas issue (are they mad?).
It has a full review of AvP2. Very few games get awarded over 90%. This game got 93%. The overall verdict is :-

Uppers: 3 games in 1 (nothing new there)
Believable AI, Stunningly atmospheric, Heart stoppingly terrifying,
Excellent plot, Large and diverse array of weaponry,
Great multiplay options.
Downers: Over long loading times (NOLF was slow too. How can this be minimised?),
Not enough enemy varieties,
Sometimes too easy to regenerate as a Predator or Alien.
PS. UK release date looks like 16th November - only a week to go...

the Pred regeneration only gets tough on 'hard' [but still survivable] when a dozen or so aliens swarm around you.
The cyborgs get good aim all of a sudden too- FINALLY good opponents.
